he Celtic Tavern opened its doors for the first time in June 2000. The small Irish pub served up hot soups and sandwiches in a comfortable environment located in historic Olde Town Conyers. 
By the fall of 2001, the previous owner saw the need to expand due the success of the restaurant. The Celtic Tavern, Irish Pub and Bar was born. With an expanded full service menu & bar, more and more customers poured in. It was the favorite place for locals and visitors alike.
November 1, 2004, new 
owners took over and revitalized The Celtic Tavern. The menu was updated with more food items to offer, as well as a new beverage menu with a great wine list was added. Dailyspecials as well as weekend specials are offered each week. The new owners also have renovated the interior to further expand the whole restaurant without taking away from the cozy atmosphere. On the Tavern side, you will enjoy a full service menu and bar with live entertainment on weekends, as well as Open 
Mic on Wednesdays and Karaoke on Saturdays. If you like to dance, we’ll make it happen. Sunday, Tuesday and Thursdays, The Celtic offers Texas Hold’em Tournaments. Get there early, there could be a wait. Recently we added ‘TRIVIA” to our Thursdays & the fun crowd is growing fast
The Café side of the Tavern is more for dining & conversation, but opens up to the Tavern side to enjoy the Live Entertainment on weekends, as well as Wednesday Open Mic Contests. This side was once a popular Barber Shop and still has the marble walls and floors. 
The first & only public shower for a little while is still housed here. Private parties may be scheduled at any time with the owner, and custom menus are arranged to meet the customer’s wants and needs. Housed in the back is a small game area leading out to a private patio that adjoins the City’s beautiful Botanical Gardens. Perfect for private lunch meetings, intimate dining, and outside dinner reservations.

The one-way street provides low traffic area & allows sidewalk seating for many, as well as an outside bar area for smokers. Several times a year, the Olde Town Business Council and City of Conyers, as well as many sponsors, offer Street parties and festivals with Commercial Street closed off for guests to enjoy without traffic. Outside customers can enjoy drink specials and a beverage of their choice while mingling with friends and participants of the special events.
